The Kardashev scale is a method of measuring a civilization’s level of technological advancement based on the amount of energy it is able to use. The measure was proposed by Soviet astronomer Nikolai Kardashev in 1964.
The scale has 3 designated civilization categories:
🔶Type I – Can use and store all of the energy available on its planet.
🔶Type II – Can use and control energy at the scale of its planetary system.
🔶Type III – Can control energy at the scale of its entire host galaxy.

At the current time, humanity has not yet reached Type I civilization status.
Physicist and futurist Michio Kaku suggested that, if humans increase their energy consumption at an average rate of 3 percent each year, they may attain Type I status in 100–200 years.

Type I civilization methods:
🔶Large-scale application of fusion power.
🔶Harnessing power through Antimatter in large quantities.
🔶Renewable energy through converting sunlight into electricity.

Type II civilization method:
Type II civilizations might use the same techniques employed by a Type I civilization, but applied to a large number of planets in a large number of planetary systems.

🔶They may also be able to tap into the energy released from the supermassive black holes.

3) Currency – for exchange of value & energy
Where does Bitcoin come into the picture?
Bitcoin & cryptocurrency will eventually replace virtual digital currency which had replaced paper money which in turn replaced bartering.
Due to Bitcoin’s hard cap of 21 million, future global currency may/can be backed by Bitcoin, thus helping with the process of acceptance. Bitcoin did something really important to help us get to that Type 1 Currency, it has helped many others to follow its example.
The world has inevitably started the process of cryptocurrencies adoption. Even though we are in the early adoption stage, next 10–20 years will help us get to the full acceptance. Solar (other renewable sources) energy is being harnessed and stored as well by private firms.
Clearly, we are on our path towards a Type 1 civilization. 👨🏻🚀🚀
